What is The National Disability Insurance
Scheme (NDIS)?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is valid Australia-wide. It offers residents aged between 7 and 65 with motor, sensory, intellectual, physical or psychosocial disabilities the necessary support to lead independent lives.

The NDIS is the first of its kind support since it directly funds the participants to ensure their continued growth, well-being and good health. The scheme takes a lifetime approach and starts investing in people with disabilities from the early stages of life, so they can live as they have envisioned.

How Does the NDIS Work?

Once the NDIS approves your Access Request Form, you will receive an Access Permission Letter. After receiving that, the next step in your NDIS journey is to create your NDIS plan.
The NDIS plan is unique to every participant since it is a written agreement worked out with them. As a participant, you will be asked questions about your present circumstances, your goals, and the support you’ll need.
